Is it weird that I kind of felt bad about leaving the old pc? I tend to personify things (this new one doesn't have a name yet) and the old pc went through such a lot with me (6 years, for one thing) that I felt like a traitor exchanging it for a new one. Ah well.
Guess it had it's brain transplanted into this one - the HD is now in the slide (thanks Sean!) and I can move all the data across at my leisure. Once the old disc is empty I want to reformat it (it now has 3 compartiments) so I can use it to back stuff up onto and to store films on.
New pc is nice and quick and QUIET! Don't like XP yet. It thinks I'm an idiot. Not a good trait in a program.
Oh, does anyone know the language/keyboard setting where you don't get the silent ' things? In the Dutch setting it doesn't give the ' until you hit the next key, because ít likes úsing them for áccents. It does it also in US-international, and I've forgotten what the setting is I used to use. UK setting has the @ somewhere else and some other minor things different.
