More computer stuff...
Aug. 1st, 2006 07:09 amWhere in XP/explorer is the function that will fold up menus, making the favourites you don't frequently use disappear from sight? I have vast lists of favourites, and navigating them while they are ALL visible is really annoying! You must be able to turn this on and off somewhere.

*feels brain leaking from ears*
Did you hear that they're actually going to remove personalized menus from the new office and from Vista? They finally realised that they do not, in fact, work.
So, Arwen, don't get used to them too much. :-)

Speaking as someone's who's had to do phone tech support, they're hellish. People just can't find things in menus anymore. To be honest, I expected this to pass as people got used to it, but after three versions of Office and four versions of Windows, it's clear that this is not the case.
It's a nice idea, but in most cases it seems to confuse people more than it helps them.
