Such a pretty ship. :) I can't wait! Fantastic photos.

Hopefully on a transat there won't be quite so much coiling. If there is it'll mean the wind's dodgy, and that would be a shame.

The photos are from daysailing, so you wouldn't do that much manouvring that close together and without day guests wouldn't care so much about coiling either. When we have 110 guests tripping about over deck we clear it all away every time.

Oh, that was weird - I'm normally logged in constantly but somehow it logged me out!

I thought that would be the case. But I need to improve my coils, they're not wonderful.

They'll teach you a better, much more secure way of hanging heavy coils. After growing used to that method I was a bit annoyed to see a certain captain on PW hammering on their 'proper' way of hanging coils... which constantly fell down on deck.

You'll also learn the art of balentining - a true usefulness for sailing without vast amounts of spare hands hanging about the place.
