Nov. 11th, 2004 11:46 am* And lo, I saw a 'funfare' on the National Express site and booked the London - Porthsmouth part of my sailing trip, and apart from the Lisbon port - Lisbon airport bit (which I can hopefully do via the bus the other people use) my entire voyage is now sorted. Yay! (the NE bus bit was only 1 pound, which is Good)
* I am writing! Go me! (that's the good news). It is, however, SG1. That's less good, at least for the poor The Downside readers who are waiting for updates. So sorry! The SG1 story is weird and silly and might stay confined to the cellars of my own pc.. or it may not. (actually it does have one sentence I might quote here as the 'fiction meme' that's been doing the rounds)
* Thanks to the unblocking writer's block I've partially rebuilt the palm so I can write again when off. Think I will have to take it sailing after all, with a few ebooks on it.
* Anyone wishing to ask me questions, strange or otherwise, is always welcome to do so

Date: 2004-11-11 01:27 pm (UTC)Oooh-kay then…
1. Are you disappointed that I still haven't written back yet?
2. Do you have any food allergies that it might be prudent to know about?
3. Have you ever worn chainmail?

3. No, never had the opportunity really. Not sure if it'd be a good look on me... (and if you're going to suggest something about Newra in a chainmail bra, consider yourself thwacked! *grin*)
(love your avatar by the way)

Date: 2004-11-12 01:13 pm (UTC)Haven't had any plans for melons—
Um. That came out wrong.
… and seafood would not go well with what I have in mind.
Hardware problems seem to be fixed now. Would you like some extra grovelling?
(Thanks! It's for those sneaky times in life…)

Date: 2004-11-11 03:48 pm (UTC)Lets see, strange questions:
* do you like beetroot?
* what pets do you have? (other than Rowan, which I'm not sure counts as a pet, but I do know of him)
* what is Rowan's favourite veggie?

Date: 2004-11-11 05:38 pm (UTC)1. Yes. Tasty. With chopped onion mixed in. yum.
2. We have one cat left, 14 year old HUGE red ex-tom Padoek.
3. He doesn't get a whole lot of different ones, but he's definitely fond of carrots. In winter we buy 2nd-grade carrots by the 25-kilo bag and he gets half a bucket full every day. :-)
