More progress...
Apr. 8th, 2004 12:29 pmThe first day in more than a week that didn't start before 7AM. I've been timing the painkillers, which work 4-6 hours. Which means taking one at midnight, sleeping until 5 AM (if lucky) when the pain wakes me up, taking another painkiller (prepared and put next to my bed, you get foresighted in these things) and sleeping in until 10 or 11. Then by noon another painkiller, and another around dinnertime.
Things are getting a bit better. I can chew a little. Had a few slices of cheese yesterday. Amazing! The taste! I had been craving for that.
Forgot to step on the scales again this morning. I think - hope - I lost around 3 kilo since the op. Another good thing of this forced break is that I have been inspired and writing like crazy.
