Dec. 15th, 2004 10:50 amThe world seems to move weirdly...
I´m at the airport in Lisbon, having a few hours to while away and decided on an internet cafe. Going home after sailing is weird - during your time aboard the ship becomes the world and when you sign off and go home it seems as if you´re just transplanted into a completely alien and unfitting place. Certainly us lot aren´t close to civilisation right now and we just finished off a bottle of red wine from our used coffee cups... The other guys have gone to catch their 12:00 flight and I´m stuck here a few hours longer. I miss people already...
Oh yes, got recommended for Cook´s assistant. Which is cool. It´s not the route I want to take (more looking into the deckhand/assistent watch leader direction) but it´s a start and it´ll get me to sea a bit more often. Go me!
I´m going to read a bit of my friendslist now and will update when I feel human again tomorrow.
Cheers,
Arwen
