Let me just curse my eyes

I realised this winter that for summer sailing a pair of good sporty shades is really kind of essential. I have shades in my prescription but they don't close off the eyes nearly enough for something like sailing. It hurts your eyes that way, especially when you're aloft. You can't see a thing and I get headaches. So I ventured out this morning to see what was possible.

Well, it IS possible to have good looking comfy shades that I could see through. I found a nice model by Adidas that looked good, closed off the eyes and that could have prescription inserts put in.

It would cost 300 euro in total.

There's just no way. I hate my eyes.

Decent sporty shades are expensive anyway. I need some new ones for rowing, as the cheapish ones I bought last year (they were about £30, IIRC) are scratched. I'm going to make them last the summer and then ask my parents for some nice Oakleys for Christmas. But they're ridiculously expensive, and I'd guess even more so if you need prescription lenses. What a pain for you!
