Today I will be mostly...
Jun. 4th, 2005 12:29 pm1) Being annoyed and sad that I'm not at the Eindhoven Games meet... I decided not to go because of aforementioned toothache. It's slightly better (with a lot of painkillers) but if it attacks I don't want to be away from home. *sulk*
2) Being pleased about this
3) Considering sarees. I have loads but hardly wear them - it's just not practical. But they are sooooo pretty that I often end up buying one anyway. I had been looking for a pareo-type thing to take sailing.. a light, small-packing thing that can serve as an inprovised skirt or dress. Except the ones I found were either hideous colours, or too small, or far too see-through to be worn anywhere but at the beach. So I had a good hard look at the sarees, picked a pretty blue one, told myself off for thinking "But it's sooooo nice!" and cut it in half. Now have a very nice pareo to take.

Living in Leicestershire in the UK, there's a large Asian population, and a correspondingly large amount of sari shops. (For anyone reading this and is thinking of visiting for that reason, try the Melton Road). Some of them are absolutely beautiful, and, as someone who loves embroidery, I always enjoy a good look at the gold-embroidered ones. Haven't bought one yet, though, as I didn't think it'd be big enough to make into a skirt as I'd hoped.
