Ow.

Last night I cycled home from the station and when I went around a roundabout (cycle path is the outermost ring and has right of way) tore up and hit me. Or rather, I saw them just about in time, realised they were going to come off the roundabout where I was, and was away just fast enough that they just tapped my rear wheel and I didn't fall. I yelled out some uncomplimentary things. They stopped, got out to see if I was already (fine, just shaking) and to apologise. The bike was also fine, just the rear fender bent a little, and I could bend that back. So I said nevermind and went home.

When I dressed for bed I found I have a lower backache from Hell. Ow. And Ow again.

I slept okay, but am not very mobile right now. I'd planned to go riding today but no way is that going to work.

It's just occurred to me that the ache may be a result of what happened yesterday. In which case it's probably stupid that I didn't write down addresses in case insurance has anything to do with this... but then, I'd have felt stupid writing down contact details because my fender was a bit bent out of shape. I felt fine at that moment...

So anyway. Ow. Hope it passes quickly enough that I don't have problems getting to and sitting for my exams...

Do for yourself what you would do to Rowan - if it's not better in three days, get thee to a physio of some sort. Personally, I've had good experience with Bowen Technique, but I don't know how readily that is available where you are. If you have one of whatever flavour for your horse, ask them, because for most of the world they need to be qualified on humans before they can practice on animals.

Hope you'll feel better soon!

thanks. Thing is I'm a lot moe careful with my horse than I'm with myself. My insurance at the moment is a pain so I'm very reluctant with things like psysio - last time the costs weren't reimbursed, and I have no money :=/

Here's hoping it's just a bad muscular ache and if I'm good it'll be over in a few days...
