Yay sailing
Apr. 1st, 2006 02:02 pmGot the offer from TSYT today for 2 weeks of deckhanding at the end of August. Since originally I only made chance as cooks assistant this makes me very happy. Deckhanding is a lot more fun. It'd be from Antwerp to Ipswich to Barry, ending in the Barry Waterfront Festival, so that ought to be an interesting trip.
Now I just need to know how easy or hard it will be to get home from Barry. Which is (if google maps works properly) not far from Cardiff. Which is relatively not-far from Bristol. And Easyjet flies from there Amsterdam. The only problem would be getting to the airport on a sunday morning (sept 3), with possibly a quite-big bag. Any advice on that?

Never had to pay extra on EasyJet, so not sure what it is (check website?) but when snow and I flew to the UK with Ryan Air they charged us €5 for each extra kilo, and even with say and extra 10 kilos it's still only €50 more, which will probably be less than a regular flight's total cost.
